Got some really nice upholstery fabric for the chair.  Red and green like a Venus Fly Trap : )

Testing out the cameras (raspberry pi based), as well as the two-way audio (asterisk PBX in the chair).  The wheelie-bar is under the back skirt here too.

Three days before we leave and still a lot to do!

The second tentacle is attached, the sunshade support is built, fabric and foam added to the skirt, and the footbox is beginning to take shape.

The chair splits in half with four bolts for shipping, and it hinges back to swap batteries out easily.

This is what the bumper on the skirt looks like before we added all the foam.  Ended up changing the headboard part quite a bit later.

Steel cable and lots of plastic ribs.

Lummox adding the formed coroplast to the new welded steel skirt.  The wooden bits clamped to it were removed later once the glue had dried.  Gantry crane was very helpful.

Tired and not paying attention, I plugged the drill battery in backwards and blew up this 25W adjustable DC-DC switching converter.  Quickly ordered some emergency spares.
